Hossawa falls

Escape to a secluded grove in Tokyo's green haven

23. May 2024

Okutama falls - Tokyo's only entrant on Japan's Top 100 Waterfalls list. There are over 500 named waterfalls in Japan, and of those, 100 have been compiled on a list by the Ministry of the Environment as the best in the country. Tokyo has one sole entrant in that Top 100 list – Hossawa Falls, located in the Okutama region of the prefecture.

The falls have a drop of 62 meters, and a great incentive to visit them during different times of year is the incredible surrounding scenery as the seasons change. During spring and summer everything is lush and green.

Mt Fuji

Mt. Fuji, an unforgettable adventure and a memory for life! After successfully climbing Mt. Fuji with Urban Heroes in the past years, we are happy to offer you again an unique and unforgettable once in a lifetime experience.

To avoid the crowds we will hike a different route with less people as the route isn't as crowded as other routes, has less huts and a more natural feel. We will meet and start at the Subashiri-guchi station, start climbing for around 6 hours and will stay the night in a hut, will have dinner together (and some entertainment - thanks to our guides) and where we have the opportunity to see the sunrise the next morning (around 4am, if we are lucky with the weather). As this route face to east, we can expect sunrise from anywhere. We will be at the top of Fuji San around 9am and start descending at 11am.

This package includes accommodation, meals & one (Japanese - fluent English speaking) guide per 8 persons, as well as one pre-hike to meet fellow participants, get to know the guides, test the gear, your fitness and answer your questions.

If you are interested in hiking Mt. Fuji please sign up here to guarantee your spot.
