Think of URBAN HEROES as an outdoor fitness gym, where you meet likeminded people that share the love for fresh air and the passion for fitness. We know each others names and we push each other to reach results together. Fitness is at its best when its fun and a strong community is what we thrive for.

Beside a broad spectrum of workouts we also offer hikes, fitness & nutrition challenges, family workouts, workshops, fundraiser and retreats.

Rebekka

Owner/FITMIX

Rebekka is a passionate triathlete as well as a convinced Pilates student and trainer. Full of energy and creativity you can expect her classes being enthusiastic and motivating. If you are wondering how to integrate your workouts and a healthy lifestyle into your daily life with kids, ask her.

Rebbeka became the owner of Urban Heroes Tokyo in 2023.

Andrea is one of our HIIT coaches and a proud member of our fitness community since the beginning. Originally coming from Germany, she has a passion for health and fitness. Andrea brings her expertise and enthusiasm to our HIIT sessions, guiding you through dynamic workouts that elevate your fitness journey. Join Andrea on the path to a stronger, healthier you!

Jake is originally from Atlanta, Georgia and recently moved to Japan with his wife and three-year-old son. He loves endurance events, CrossFit, and anything outdoors. His training helps others get stronger and reach their full potential.


Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), NASM Certified Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Trainer, CrossFit Level 1 Online Coach.

Carina

HIIT THE PARK

Carina is an Argentinian born Australian so she speaks Spanish fluently. She is passionate about nurturing an environment where parents can improve both their physical and their mental well-being. With a background in Psychology, Military and Maternity, you are in great hands. Expect her workouts to be fun and energetic with a big focus on functional movement.

Sofia

Pilates

Sofia is originally from Argentina, raised as an expat living all over the world. Sofia is a mom of three boys now settled in Japan. She’s taught pilates for over a decade in group settings as well as Classical (reformer) Pilates in her private studio. Sofia loves how Pilates strengthens the deep intrinsic muscles of the core, improves body balance, and builds up muscles without bulking up. As walking proof of the power of Pilates, she now wants to share this method of exercise with everyone and to transform others lives' the way it has transformed hers.

Certified in Stott Marrithew Pilates IMP, IR, & ICCB as well as Pure Barre Instructor (P1/2).

Shelly

Yoga

Shelly is a devoted yoga student and teacher. Originally from the United States, she teaches classical asana poses with an emphasis on alignment. Her classes are aimed at cultivating a dynamic connection throughout the whole body allowing the mind to settle.

Beata

Yoga

Beata was born and raised in Poland, but has spent most of her life abroad. She divides her time between managing her multicultural patchwork family, working as a teacher, and walking the path of yoga. She is a meditation enthusiast and an energy healer. Her classes are aimed at relaxing your mind and body and giving you that energy burst you might need on a Wednesday morning.

ALessia

Yoga

Alessia is Yoga Alliance certified teacher, her classes combines the vinyasa system and breath control of Asthanga Yoga with the study of asanas and alignment of the Iyengar school. Suitable for all levels, Alessia encourage her students to honour their uniqueness with compassion.

Sarah

Sarah is a British yoga and Pilates instructor. Yoga is a regular part of her life and her most important self-care tool, helping her balance all the passions and roles in her life in the healthiest possible way. Her classes focus on flexibility and total-body stretches in a calm and relaxed space, helping you let go of tension, focus on your breath and let all that stress melt away.

Chloe

Yoga

Chloe Potter is a British broadcaster, voice actor & Yoga teacher. Having practised yoga for more than 20 years she trained to become a teacher. Chloe is passionate about helping others to discover the peace and insight that yoga can offer. She teaches mainly vinyasa flow with an edge of strengthening precision. She also loves to guide people in slower meditative yin-inspired classes.

Emma

reformer/HIIT Pilates

Emma is British Japanese and lives in Tokyo with her husband and three children. Emma qualified in mat, reformer and pre/post natal Pilates at the London Pilates Academy and the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute. Emma has used Pilates for over 15 years to combat maintain strength and flexibility in her body and mind as well as to manage her chronic pain symptoms without medication. Pilates has had a transformative effect on her life and she is passionate about shading the physical and mental health benefits of it with others.

Alix

FITmix/hiit the park

Alix is from Canada and is a personal trainer and group fitness instructor. She is passionate about making fitness accessible to all and has experience coaching people of all ages (from 11 - 85!) A mom of a 3 year old son, she is particularly interested in prenatal and postpartum fitness. She enjoys strength training (especially kettlebells) and running (especially in the winter)

Annika

Annika is originally from Germany but lived in Paris for 10 years before moving to Tokyo. Besides her passion for fitness she loves cooking and makes an excellent sourdough bread. Expect her classes to be lot’s of fun, setting you on fire with her positive energy!

Marjolein

Body Tone /HIIT THE PARK

Marjolein is from the Netherlands, living in Tokyo since 2022 and mother of three kids. She is passionated about sports and started her journey with Urban Heroes as a very active member. Meet energetic Marjolein for tough and fun workouts.
